Even though the theatrical version of the movie killed off Ezra Miller's character Credence Barebone, producer David Heyman has admitted that they left out a sequence that might have substantially altered the way the story ended. The Dark Knight, 2008

The Dark Knight isn't the first or final movie to be based on Batman from DC Comics, but it's unquestionably among the greatest. Of course, that shouldn't be surprising given how fantastic the cast of the movie is. After the Joker blows up the hospital and boards the bus, there is a lengthy scene that follows in the movie. Even though the sequence is brief and straightforward, it really captures the essence of the criminal mastermind. He doesn't even turn around to see the damage he's done until he's on the bus. He doesn't give a damn. The fact that it occurred is all that matters.

Crazy Rich Asians, 2018

Crazy Rich Asians, a comedy-drama that has received high praise from critics, following a Chinese-American professor who visits her boyfriend's family and is shocked to learn that they are among the wealthiest in Singapore. The viewer was given a more in-depth look at Nick and Eleanor's relationship in the original edit, which featured a sequence in which Nick confronts Eleanor. A little more information about Eleanor's private life and her interactions with the family she married into are revealed in this scene. It's also a welcome shift to watch Nick challenge his mother rather than merely concur with her.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2, 2014

If you're unfamiliar with Spider-Man's backstory, young Peter Parker was adopted and nurtured by his aunt and uncle up until the day he was bitten by a radioactive spider, which endowed him with superhuman abilities. Peter holds himself responsible for the death of his uncle, who was involved in an accident he could have avoided, and spends the rest of his days doing good. You might cry watching this deleted scene from The Amazing Spider-Man 2 given that Peter has lost two father figures. Peter's real father visits a cemetery to tell his sad son that he is still alive.

Blade Runner, 1982

Blade Runner is yet another movie that Ridley Scott has directed, or should we say "films" as there are seven different versions. A nine-second shot of a woman soaking in a bathtub is one of many moments that Scott chose to omit from the theatrical release. Though nothing of the type has surfaced just yet, it is speculated that there are scenes both before and after this specific occasion. We observe Deckard (Harrison Ford) fleeing during the scene. He crosses what appears to be a dead woman and a bathtub filled with water.

Alien, 1979

The crew of a commercial spacecraft is awoken from their cryo-sleep capsules to find, well, THE alien in Ridley Scott's 1979 science-fiction horror picture Alien. The death of Brett is one of the most important scenes in the movie because it allows us to finally see the alien as a fully grown adult and a formidable opponent. When Brett turns to confront the alien in the movie scene, he is suddenly lifted into one of the tunnels. The encounter is far more violent and explicit in the original, but much of the material was deleted to avoid giving too much away about the extraterrestrial.

Spider-Man 2, 2004

The majority of people would concur that Spider-Man 2 is one of the best superhero movies ever made, but it may have been even better if they hadn't removed this scene, which occurs after Peter Parker (Tobey Maguire) decides to give up on his web-slinging, people-saving alter ego and live a normal life. Even if Deadpool is a bit violent, it is not at all a dark film. We're talking about how frequently Ryan Reynolds' character makes jokes. Undoubtedly, Deadpool commits some fairly horrible things, but the film does a fantastic job of avoiding focusing on those instances. That's undoubtedly the reason why the portion of Deadpool's scene that shows him and his wife, Vanessa, searching for a treatment for his disease was removed. They encounter a con artist on their journey who is defrauding cancer sufferers of their money while posing as a doctor. Deadpool kills the man in front of Vanessa out of hatred.

Step Brothers, 2008

We feel confident in claiming that Step Brothers is a genuine work of comedy brilliance. However, given that this is the latest successful film from filmmaker Adam McKay, we shouldn't be too shocked. McKay shoots twice as much film as he really utilizes. He actually shot so much material for Anchorman that he was able to piece together a full quasi-sequel from it. But let's get back to Step Brothers. Will Ferrell, Rob Riggle, and Adam Scott's characters Brendan, Randy, and Derek appear in an alternate scenario that was cut. It's understandable why McKay himself so strongly supports improvisation in light of Riggle's heart attack, which he miraculously recovers from in the middle of the conference, Scott's stern lecture, and Ferrell's deadpan reactions.

Kill Bill Vol. II, 2004

Kill Bill: Volume 2 is thought to be the most violent movie ever made, and it makes the previous volume appear like unicorns and rainbows. Bill, The Bride's ex-lover and one of Quentin Tarantino's greatest villains, is a cold-blooded killer. Although Volume 2 never really portrays Bill as a physical threat, audiences think that he is a great swordsman. In a scene that was cut from the theatrical release, Bill is shown inflicting agony as he and Beatrix stroll through the streets of a sleepy Asian village in a flashback. Following a chance encounter with Da Moe and a group of gangsters, Bill starts teaching them all kung fu.

The Thing, 1982

Given that it was released the same weekend as the Blade Runner premiere, we felt it only made sense to talk about this movie next. Whatever the case, by the film's conclusion, John Carpenter's sci-fi horror had audiences genuinely debating whether or not the protagonist could be relied upon. MacReady and Childs are the only two people still alive in the final scene, but is one of them really just the monster posing as someone else? In a different conclusion, it is revealed that The Thing did live and that he had taken the appearance of a dog to flee the Antarctic station.

The Sixth Sense,1999

The late '90s supernatural psychological thriller The Sixth Sense centers on young Cole Sear (Haley Joel Osment), who has the capacity to see and communicate with the dead, a burden that he must live with every day. Cole is seen playing outside with a group of Civil War veterans in a deleted clip that perfectly depicts the ongoing suffering he must endure. Little Shop of Horrors,1986

You undoubtedly know how the theatrical production of Little Shop of Horrors concludes if you're a lover of Broadway. But since the test audiences disliked seeing the two main characters perish at the hands of a flesh-eating plant, which Seymour dubbed Audrey II after his beloved girlfriend, the filmmaker chose to make the ending a little happier in the film adaptation. A new conclusion was filmed with the two leads still alive after the 23-minute-long original ending was cut. However, a Director's Cut edition contains full-color footage if you're keen to view the original.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Pt. 1, 2010

The final movie in the series is Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Harry hasn't had an easy life, that much is certain. In other words, after Voldemort killed his parents, he was forced to live with his uncle, aunt, and cousin Dudley in a harsh home. The performers give such convincing performances that viewers can't help but detest Harry's family. Nevertheless, you can see in a deleted scene where Harry and Dudley bid each other farewell that they do have hearts (of a sort). Harry and Dudley are able to put their differences aside despite their history and animosity for one another thanks to a heartwarming handshake that almost makes you cry.

The Goonies,1985

The Goonies is a cult favorite and the pinnacle of 1980s action movies. Having said that, there were a few scenes in the movie that weren't really required. The children in the original version ride slide into a lagoon where they are assaulted by a huge, rubbery-looking octopus. The octopus then swims away as Data places his Walkman cassette player—how retro—into its mouth and plays the pop song Eight Arms to Hold You. The scene was probably shortened for time, but Disney Channel was able to obtain the TV rights to the movie and re-aired the scene to make up for the time that was lost.

Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan,1982

Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, widely regarded as the best Star Trek movie ever, is unquestionably the one that most closely resembles the 1966–1969 television series it was based on. However, one scene—in which Chief Engineer Montgomery Scott sobs at the bedside of a dying cadet named Peter Preston—does seem a little out of place. Since this isn't the first time Scott has had to bid goodbye to a crew member, audiences were left perplexed as to why this loss had affected Scott so profoundly. In the director's cut, a deleted sequence shows that Peter is actually Scott's nephew.

Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines, 2003

Yes, it's true that fans weren't overly happy to have to wait 12 years for the release of Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines. Although this deleted scene might have been taking it a bit too far, the movie was still a huge action blockbuster and didn't shun some light humor. A group of government representatives can be seen in this particular cut watching a Skynet presentation that features Chief Master Sergeant William Candy, who is actually just Arnold Schwarzenegger with an exaggerated Southern drawl. The decision by the producers to cut this scene was the right one, even though it's entertaining to hear Arnold's own accent.

Saturday Night Fever, 1977

No matter how long the years pass or how stale the disco culture is, Saturday Night Fever remains relevant. The influence the movie had on mainstream culture when it was released in the 1970s cannot be overstated. We can thank the Bee Gees for this kind of movie, where you couldn't help but boogie the entire time. In any case, you guys probably didn't realize that Night Fever was shortened to fit the scene's length when you think of the great dance scene that begins with a youthful John Travolta brushing his quaffed head of hair. The entire song is played in its entirety in the scene in the original extended version.

Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, 1986

The 1980s teen comedy Ferris Bueller's Day Off, directed by John Hughes, starred a teenage Matthew Broderick. He plays Ferris, a high school slacker who skips class by pretending to be unwell in order to spend the day in Chicago with his closest buddy and girlfriend. The three of them embark on a day of activities and a guilt-free shopping binge together. There is only one problem: How does Ferris manage to spend this much money? In reality, a scene when Ferris visits the bank to cash a bond that his father bought when he was born was deleted from the final product. Hughes eventually cut the sequence because it put Ferris too near to a juvenile thief.

Avengers: Infinity War, 2018

One of the costliest movies ever created, Avengers: Infinity War has an estimated $3400 million budget. It's fortunate that the movie was a box office sensation and received overwhelmingly favorable reviews. With that considered, the movie doesn't really require many rescues, but we have to admit that it's probably best if they deleted this humorous sequence when Star-Lord, Drax, and Mantis argue needlessly while Thanos has Gamora in his possession. Even while the sequence is amusing on its own, now is not the time for jokes or arguments.

A Star Is Born, 2018

A Star Is Born, a box office success, centers on a hard-partying singer named Jack (Bradley Cooper) who develops feelings for a struggling artist named Ally (Lady Gaga). In a deleted scene from the movie, Ally sings to Jack on their wedding day. This cut scene summarizes the entire day even though the wedding celebrations itself aren't really portrayed in the film. Ally begins to perform at the piano before the scene changes to her walking down the aisle earlier that day. The following two minutes of the scene mix earlier recollections with glimpses of celebrations later that evening.

The Notebook, 2004

In the romance drama The Notebook, Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams play a young couple named Noah and Allie who fall in love in the 1940s. An elder Noah provides the narration for the entire movie from the present. He shares his love story with older Allie, another resident of the nursing home. Allie's Alzheimer's can be inferred by the audience, but we never witness the diagnosis. We get a closer look at this deleted clip because it reveals some details that lessen the shock of the conclusion.

Jaws, 1975

Regarded as an all-time cinematic masterpiece, Jaws, directed by Steven Spielberg, recounts the terrifying tale of a massive man-eating great white shark. While several deleted scenes from the film have emerged, one particular opening scene underwent significant alterations prior to its premiere. Originally, the scene featured a young woman enjoying a skinny-dipping session before meeting her untimely demise at the jaws of the shark. The Shining,1980

Without a doubt, one of the best horror movies to date is Stanley Kubrick's adaptation of Stephen King's novel The Shining. As he passes away, Jack Torrence is seen limping through the maze of The Overlook Hotel while holding an axe. The final image is a gradual zoom into a picture of Jack appearing to become a member of The Overlook family on a wall. But Kubrick originally intended to shoot a different final scene. Stuart, the manager of The Overlook, pays Wendy and Danny a visit in the deleted scene as they are healing from Jack's assault in the hospital. Stuart throws Danny a yellow tennis ball as the sequence comes to a close, alluding to an earlier moment in the movie and implying that Stuart might be aware.

Superman IV: The Quest for Peace, 1987

Therefore, even if this Superman movie may not have been the best, we still believe it has merit. Watch the deleted sequence when Superman battles a strange rendition of the Nuclear Man, played by actor Clive Mantle (seen in the bottom right of the image), if you enjoy a good laugh. The scene is excessive in every way. It is understandable why they award the sequence a boot given the comical "POW" noises, the actors' gestures, and the superhero music. Christopher Reeve is still attractive to look at.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Pt. 2, 2011

As long as we're talking about Harry's competitors, we might as well bring up Draco Malfoy. Draco is the definition of a ruthless bully. He not only got Harry into difficulty, but he also assisted Snape in the murder of Dumbledore. Deathly Hallows Part 2 features a deleted scene in which the blond-haired tyrant unexpectedly comes to Harry's help. Despite the fact that the audience never truly sees Draco atone for his actions, he does so in the scene. Draco publicly condemns Voldemort and gives Harry his wand during a confrontation with the wicked wizard, which proves to be the decisive factor in Voldemort's downfall.

Unbreakable, 2000

The thriller Unbreakable, directed by M. Night Shyamalan, centers on David Dunn, a security guard played by Bruce Willis who is the lone survivor of a horrific train accident. After the incident, he finds himself at the center of an enigmatic idea that accounts for his consistent good health. In a deleted scene, David begins to suspect that he might in fact be a superhero, and he rushes to the gym at the stadium where he works. He gains almost 500 pounds there, but he still lifts the bar effortlessly. The audience can sense that David is beginning to believe in his heroic abilities once he completes that obstacle.

Almost Famous, 2000

In the 1973 setting of Almost Famous, William, a 15-year-old music enthusiast, is the main character. No matter how many times you've seen the movie, there are certain moments that never fail to give you the goosebumps. Even though one of the aforementioned situations wasn't included in the final product, it is still worth viewing. In order to persuade his religiously conservative, rock-averse mother (played by Frances McDormand) to let him write for Rolling Stone, William invites his journalism professor, counselor, and buddy over to his house. In an effort to get his mother to give in, he plays Stairway to Heaven by Led Zeppelin. Sadly, the sequence had to be cut because the filmmakers were unable to obtain the band's permission to use that music.

Lethal Weapon, 1987

Mel Gibson made a comeback to the big screen in 1987 as the dangerous cop Martin Riggs in Lethal Weapon. Even while his intention to die is very plain, a sequence that was removed from the theatrical version makes it even clearer. When Riggs receives a call reporting a shooting at a school, he decides to act on his own because the SWAT team is unlikely to arrive in time. Instead of directly entering the playground and risking getting caught in the line of fire, an alternative approach would be to ask politely and with respect. The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1, 2014

Mockingjay from The Hunger Games Katniss Everdeen is still the main character in Part 1 of the Catching Fire sequel. After putting an end to the games for good, Katniss, Gale, Finnick, and Beetee band together to save Peeta and the others she has motivated with her bravery. A deleted clip from the movie provides a closer look between Katniss and Effie Trinket, played by Elizabeth Banks. Banks definitely steals the show with her comic timing. It's cute and funny, and frankly, it ought to have been in the movie.

Scream 4, 2011

Let's just say that Scream 4's alternate opener is similar to the twisted opening scenes that the Scream series is renowned for. Marnie and Jenny are home alone in the original version, making joking calls to each other as Ghostface. Marnie abruptly disappears, and Jenny doesn't locate her until the real Ghostface has already reached her. Before the Scream 4 title shows, Ghostface then pursues Jenny up the stairs and stabs her. However, the chase scene was completely removed from the alternate version, and the order of the fatalities was changed. Prior to being slain herself, Marnie witnesses Jenny's demise, setting up the opening credits.

Get Out, 2017

In 2017, Jordan Peele made his directorial debut with the horror movie Get Out. Rose (Allison Williams) and Chris (Daniel Kaluuya) are spending the weekend with her family. Chris is forced to undergo hypnosis by Rose's mother in order to break his smoking habit. Chris tells Rose the following morning that he finds smokes to be completely repulsive. The audience would have discovered that Rose was likewise hypnotized by her mother as a youngster if the sequence hadn't been chopped off just then. We'll never know if she was telling the truth or not.

In Disney's Moana, a little girl sets out on a quest despite being told by her parents to stay near to land. Moana needs to learn how to sail before she can leave her house. In the course of the movie, Moana gains boat-handling skills. The character arc of Moana includes a significant amount of her success in navigating the perilous seas, albeit it was by no means a simple task. However, Moana's journey wasn't nearly as difficult in the film's original cut. Moana had six brothers instead of being raised as an only child, and in a sequence that was cut, they showed her how to sail.

Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice, 2016

Even though Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice may not have been the biggest box office success of 2016, we should nonetheless talk about why several scenes in the movie felt so hurried. Although the film included mega-stars, viewers were still left wondering how the characters appeared to be in possession of knowledge that was supposed to be beyond their scope. One instance, which occurs toward the end of the movie, is when an imprisoned Lex Luthor asserts that the Earth is under attack from an evil entity, but how did he know this? He came into immediate contact with that force, according to a deleted scene.

Revenge of the Nerds,1984

The 1980s comedy classic Revenge of the Nerds follows a gang of nerds attending the made-up Adams College. They are attempting to stop the campus's Alpha Betas, a fraternity of jocks, from tormenting them all the time. In a brief scene from the theatrical release of the movie, Robert Carradine's character finds the abandoned, dilapidated house that will eventually become their frat house of sorts. The phone number on the "For Rent" sign was a real working number, thus the scene was deleted for the home video release. You guys have surely noticed that almost all phone numbers that appear on screen in movies or on television begin with "555," as it is not a commonly used prefix. However, this is a rare instance.

Mean Girls, 2004

Ah, Mean Girls, the high school comedy about cliques and, in this instance, burned books. In her heyday, Lindsay Lohan played Cady Heron, a young woman who had recently moved from Africa with her parents. The scene where Cady breaks her crown and gives the parts to the other girls, including Regina George (Rachel McAdams), who deserved to be named Spring Fling Queen is one of the movie's defining moments. Although viewers believed Cady and Regina hadn't reconciled after the "bus" scene, a deleted shot actually shows them talking before the prom.

Terminator 2: Judgment Day, 1991

The fact that Terminator 2: Judgement Day is among the best sequels in movie history is therefore no secret. James Cameron, the director, had to delete several sequences from the original version because it was well over two hours long. One of those moments occurred about the halfway point of the movie, when Sarah Connor, John Connor, and the T-800 (Arnold Schwarzenegger), who had just engaged the T-1000 in gunfire, wound up spending the night at a gas station. The Terminator begs Sarah to take out his main computer chip so he may reset the system so he can gain fresh information as she takes out the bullets from him. But after taking out the chip, she almost hits it with a hammer before John intervenes.

The Truman Show, 1998

Jim Carrey starred in the drama The Truman Show in 1998. His insurance salesman persona learns that his family members are merely extras in a television drama about his life. In the movie's original cut, there is a scene when Truman exhibits extreme suspicion after noticing an actor who was in a wheelchair one day and jogging the next. The entire movie obviously works without the scene, but it's funny to watch this entire 'world' come apart as Truman becomes increasingly distrustful of those around him.

Joker, 2019

The psychological thriller Joker, which Todd Phillips directed, broke box office records left and right to rank as the sixth-highest-grossing movie of the year. To think that it almost didn't even happen, and yet it is the best-performing R-rated film of all time. During filming, Phillips created a sequence that was so rotten that Joker wouldn't have even qualified as an R-rated film. The scene, according to Phillips, involves a "bathtub" and is allegedly "insane." And even if the director calls it "amazing," cutting it seems like the appropriate move.

The Silence of the Lambs,1991

In the 1991 American psychological horror thriller The Silence of the Lambs, Jodi Foster plays Clarice Starling, a star student. Clarice, a trainee at the FBI, is assigned a task to interview Dr. Hannibal Lecter, played by Anthony Hopkins, a brilliant psychiatrist who is now serving a life sentence in prison for a number of murders and cannibalism. Yes, he may come across as being very ruthless, yet a film's deleted clip shows that Hannibal can genuinely relate to Buffalo Bill, another murderer.

Beavis and Butt-Head Do America, 1996

Mike Judge was the creator of the eight-season animated series Beavis and Butthead. While some people considered these two socially awkward teenage couch potatoes to be wonderfully entertaining, others found the show's humor to be extremely offensive. Therefore, it was only appropriate that these two moron premiere on the big screen in Beavis and Butthead Do America (1996). Of course, there were other movie scenes that weren't included, like this one, for example. Beavis discovers that the public lavatory in the Pentagon is out of toilet paper. He leaves the stall in quest of more but ultimately takes the Declaration of Independence, which is the next best thing. Thus, even though Judge did enjoy watching.

Beetlejuice, 1988

The plot of Tim Burton's 1988 horror-comedy Beetlejuice revolves around a recently departed couple who turn into ghosts and haunt their previous home. Michael Keaton plays the annoying poltergeist in the film. Of course, it's not until Adam, who is portrayed by a young and frail Alec Baldwin, tries to leave his home for the first time that the seriousness of their predicament really sinks in. Adam and Barbara had no idea that what awaits beyond for them is, at least in the version we are familiar with, a hell-like limbo of a strange desert environment studded with enormous sandworms like Tim Burton. However, in the original sequence, Adam is seen rushing down the porch steps only to find himself in a pitch-black abyss under attack from gearwheels!

The Devil Wears Prada, 2006

Based on the best-selling book, The Devil Wears Prada tells the story of Andy (Anne Hathaway), a recent journalism graduate who moves to New York and works as Miranda Priestly's (Meryl Streep) assistant, one of the city's most powerful magazine editors. Although this deleted scene presents the renowned editor in a far more vulnerable light, the audience does get to glimpse a softer side of Miranda. Miranda's spouse has a negative attitude toward her boss while at the charity event. Miranda mouths "thank you" to Andy for mediating with the CEO before directing her husband out of the room. That really seems a little out of character, if you ask us.

Suicide Squad, 2016

The Joker (Jared Leto) drops Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie) from a helicopter in the Suicide Squad movie before it crashes. The Joker then vanishes for the remainder of the movie until the very last scene, when he releases Harley from jail. The director eventually showed a deleted sequence in which "the Joker dropped HQ from the helicopter and crashed," allowing the audience to finally understand what truly happened to the Joker. He struck up a pact with Enchantress (Cara Delevingne). Harley refused to abandon her new allies in the face of the man who planned to take her home and crown her “King of Gotham.”

Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi, 1983

The original trilogy's third movie is called Return of the Jedi. The fact that Luke Skywalker was never informed of his father's true identity is one of the many plot holes in this movie that have been the subject of debate among viewers for decades. People continue to wonder why Obi-Wan Kenobi didn't tell him before the combat, even if the mystery fuels exciting amounts of tension between Skywalker and Darth Vader. It turns out that there was another phrase in the original version that explained why Kenobi kept the knowledge: Yoda forbidden him from telling Skywalker anything.

The Avengers, 2012

Steve Rogers, a.k.a. Captain America, is a World War II-era U.S. Army officer who has spent almost 70 years frozen in ice, so it makes sense that he feels a little out of place. When we first see Thor in The Avengers, he is hitting a punching bag with all of his rage and grief as images of the battle go through his mind. The audience can tell that he is in mourning. In reality, a whole deleted scene that depicts how depressed the Captain has grown exists. Steve is shown in the first shot alone in his flat viewing WWII propaganda movies. To swiftly access government records of acquaintances who have since passed away, he immediately turns it off. Despite the fact that it doesn't, he briefly considers ringing up.

Avengers: Infinity War, 2018

There may not be anything wrong with Thanos winning "Dad of the Year," but there is undoubtedly more to their relationship than what the audience sees. There is no disputing that Gamora endured years of torture at the hands of her adoptive father, but their relationship is still somewhat warm despite their strange chemistry. Even while Infinity War does a great job of explaining their bond, the original edit included another sequence that explores their father-daughter relationship in greater detail. And it turns out that they both had been holding in their emotions.
